ORTYXOS: An Agon Island

Some say Ortyxos is Hera's island. Queen Alkmena rules in her name, like her mother and grandmother before.  Outside the marble walls and columns of the White Palace however, you may get a different answer. 

The Sisters of Hekate move about the city like wraiths, materializing from the gloom to spread prophecy and dissent. Pointing to the stars they declare Antigone their queen. Delos's appetite for the island's precious white stone grows with each passing day. Its agents hungrily explore the mines and city streets at uncommon hours. Out in the forests, Callisto and her herd hunt with wild abandon. Reports of poaching, and even killing, reach the court's ears as something draws them ever closer to the city's limits. All the while, doom approaches…
